Cattle at Mead

Mission Statement:
To raise quality registered Angus cattle in an environment similar to which the commercial breeder raises cattle. Selecting for Performance, Fertility and Efficiency. The way we try to achieve this is through years of AHIR records with large contemporary groups, vigorous culling, and using proven A.I. Sires. With the ultimate goal of providing functional and profitable cattle to the registered and commercial breeder.

History:
Mead Angus Farm was founded in 1942 by Johnnie W. Mead. The Farm headquarters is currently in Barnett, Missouri and the total herd capacity is around 600 cows. An intensive A.I. program is used with the remaining cows bred naturally to the very best bulls that we can raise or purchase.

Performance tested bulls are available for private treaty sale year around with complete birth, weaning, yearling weights and ultrasound data. The bulls are semen tested and guaranteed. Also cow/calf, bred heifers, open heifers and bred cows are for sale at private treaty. Bulls at Mead
